Improv Circle & Music Meetup

“A community space where we meet in the magic of music and enjoy the spirit of play.”

About the Event

Spirit of Play is a loosely guided, community-centered music experience where sound is a language for exploration and connection. Together, we co-create a shared container for discovery, collaboration, and spontaneous creation. Through the joy of music & play, we listen, weave rhythms, interlock melodies, create textures, experiment with sound & silence, and shed pressures of perfection, performance and expectation.

The focus is on creating new connections through deep listening — to yourself, to one another, and to the collective sound field. Come see what happens when we let go of rules and allow music to emerge organically, and give yourself permission to play, experiment, and be surprised.

The Spirit of Play reminds us that:

  • there are no wrong notes

  • presence over perfectionsilence is a friend

  • curiosity over outcome

  • less can be more

  • conversation through music

  • connection over technique

LET’S HAVE FUN!!!!!

Spirit of Play is an open music meetup and improv circle (jam) designed for all. Whether you are a seasoned musician, a closet creative, or someone who has never touched an instrument before, you are welcome here. No music theory or prior experience is required.

Every Improv Circle session is shaped by those who attend, and includes some sort of beginning, middle, and ending. We hope to enter as strangers, and leave as friends!

Bridgette Jester | Crown Creator Studios is a holistic sanctuary devoted to guiding souls back to their center through bodywork, energy practices, and sacred self-discovery. Founded over six years ago, the studio is owned and operated by Bridgette Jester, a Certified Thai Bodywork Practitioner, Sound Healing Practitioner, 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, Level II Reiki Practitioner, and Licensed Massage Therapist.

Bridgette’s work blends ancient healing traditions with modern understanding, offering an integrative approach that supports self-awareness, nervous system regulation, and embodied alignment. Her offerings flow intuitively and include therapeutic massage, breathwork, yoga, Reiki, and immersive sound healing journeys—each thoughtfully woven to help clients slow down, release layers of tension, and reconnect with the wisdom already living inside them.

She holds space with accessibility and integrity at the heart of the work, offering healing as a remembrance—something you return to, rather than something you seek outside yourself.

Sarah Paz Hyde is a Sound Alchemist, multi-instrumentalist (violin, handpan, vocalist), calmUNITY organizer, and visual artist currently based in Maryland. Her creative spirit is rooted in a multicultural upbringing and a spiritually infused approach to engaging life with curiosity more so than fear.

Sarah began her artistic journey at the age of four with the violin, planting the seeds for a lifelong relationship with music and expression. In 2016, she discovered the handpan—an instrument that brought her into alignment with her life’s purpose: supporting others in reconnecting with balance within body, mind, and spirit.

In February, Sarah joins the Settle Into Stillness Sound Journey ensemble in 2026 for the "Roots to Wings" tour.
